President Angelo Palmerini and the other officers of BENTE have been working non-stop with the RCSD to resolve the issues caused by the District's botched move to Oracle as a payroll and benefits system. Too many of our members are suffering, and that is not okay! Every day is a new problem it seems.
President Palmerini addressed the BOE at the end of July about these concerns, and there has been very little improvement. President Palmerini has also been in touch with the NYS Governor's office, and he has worked with our Council 66 who is communicating with AFSCME's Legislative and Political Director in Albany.
In response to AFSCME reaching out on behalf of BENTE and our members, the NYS Comptroller's Office is currently reviewing a request to audit the RCSD's handling of Oracle and this transition.
